THE
F-BOMB DROPS SEPT. 14th
Remember back in the Spring
when the lowly day of May 4th had a havoc
unleashed upon it by the release of rock? If not, perhaps a reminder
is
in order. May 4th, 2004 will go down as a day of celebration for music
fans as new albums from Piebald, Sloan, The Kicks and Sleep Station
wereunleashed upon us to a ROUSING ovation. However, so much rock was
too
much for the day of May 8th to handle and will likely never be the same
due to such fury. All it does now is look off at the horizon with an
empty look in its eyes. An empty, empty look.
Well, a short four months later, history has been repeated. This past
Tuesday, September 14th, 2004 will forever be remembered as the day
in
which the bomb dropped. The F Bomb. This day marked the release of new
albums from three bands that boast the distinction of having a name
beginning with the letter F.......and a fourth band so daring in
band-name-itude.....that it doesn't! That's right music fans, remember
the day, because today was the day in which the following albums
DROPPED!
The Datsuns - Outta Sight/Outta Mind (V2 Records)
The Features - Exhibit A (Universal Records)
Flogging Molly - Within a Mile of Home (Sideonedummy Records)
Fu Manchu - Start the Machine (DRT Records)
Brace yourself folks. The aftermath is going to change us all.....and
poor, poor September 14th has been irrevocably altered for the rest
of
existence.
