PERSONAL FAVORITES

Venue for a show:
Coney Island High (RIP) or the 9:30 club in DC would be my favorites. I like the 9:30 club because of the bouncer who looks like a cross between AJ from the Backstreet Boys and Ice T, in Philadelphia I like going to the Trocadero.
Show you've seen recently (or ever):
Warped Tour 1996 with the Descendents, my least favorite part was when I got hit in the head with a log and was bleeding for 45 minutes during their set. (Who throws a log?)
Music store:
I haven't bought a CD in a long time, but Disc on South Street is staffed by nice people, so I enjoy going in there.
Current website:
www.marryanamerican.ca/
True love and citizenship, just across the border.
Radio station:
WNYC, because listening to regular NPR isn't pretentious enough for me
Television show:
The Golden Girls, I've seen every episode and I wrote a paper on it in college.
Cable network:
Comedy Central
Movie from this past summer:
I don't know if I saw any movies this summer, but Super Size Me is the last movie I remember seeing in the theater, and it was good, so go see it.
Item of clothing:
Hot pink Bruce Lee shirt.
Street Syndicate Campaign you've been a part of:
Comedy Central Campaign, I got to go around telling people how funny Reno 911 is, which I kinda do already

NITTY-GRITTY

How long have you been a Synner?
Um, since 2003 I think, but I only did one campaign and then moved here and started doing things last February.
How did you find out about becoming a Synner?
A bunch of people from my school were interns. When I was going to a show my friend Sabina asked me if I wanted to hand stuff out at the show and get paid, well who could turn down such an offer.
What are you studying in school?
Public Health
What are your interests / professions outside of school and Synner work?
I complain about Philadelphia enough that I think I'm justified in calling it an interest/hobby. I like to go to IKEA, knit, and watch makeover shows. I work for the University of Pennsylvania as a Research Assistant on a medical study.

DIGGIN' DEEP

You're no doubt into a lot of different types of music, but what are 2 different sounds you're most attracted to right now and why?
I really like music with a piano and pop punk. I don't have a why for either of those, that's just how it is.
If you took a road trip cross-country with only 3 CDs, which would they be and why?
Coldplay Live, my mixed Cher CD, and Ben Folds's Rockin the Suburbs, because I could listen to those three albums on repeat for the rest of my life and be quite content.
You have the ability to blend 2 or 3 movies together to currently describe your life. What movies and why?
The Hudsucker Proxy because I am a muckraker with a lot of moxy, Gremlins because I'm small and wreak lame havoc, and the Seinfeld episode where Kramer decides to cut his shower time down and then instead moves into the shower, because I did consider that exact possibility a few weeks ago based on the following: it's warm, it's soothing, and nothing that bad has ever happened to me there. (a Seinfeld episode is admittedly not a movie, but, you know, it was applicable). And my movie would be called "10 Things I Hate About Philadelphia"

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Why would you recommend students to get involved with The Street Syndicate?
It's great because you can take on only what you have time for, I really got to learn my neighborhood by going to different stores, and I get to talk to cool people (and find out who is rude, allowing me to avoid them in the future).
Anything else you'd like to add about anything at all to everyone and anyone reading this?
I am an ordained minister, if you're looking for spiritual guidance or looking to get married give me a call (not applicable in all states).
